Get Drug Paraphernalia OUT of Durham Stores!

Whereas drug paraphernalia is any legitimate equipment, product or material that is modified for making, using, or concealing illegal drugs such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and methamphetamine, and

Whereas easy access to drug paraphernalia is undermining our community, and

Whereas law enforcement officials have confirmed that “glass stems” are being modified for use as pipes to smoke (crack) cocaine and methamphetamine, and

Whereas the Rose in the Glass “glass stems” are currently sold in Durham stores,

Now, therefore, let it be resolved that the Durham People’s Alliance asks that Durham City and County include these and similar glass stems in the list of banned drug paraphernalia.
