Join us for a Durham People’s Alliance Progressive Issues Forum: Free From Fear: Southerners on New Ground’s Campaign to #EndMoneyBail in Durham County.
Come learn more about:
- SONG’s #EndMoneyBail Campaign,
- The HRC Jail Report, and
- What else we can do to end economic and racial injustice within Durham’s criminal justice system.
The Forum is a partnership of Durham PA, SONG and the City of Durham Human Rights Commission (HRC), whose 2017 report on multiple concerns at the Durham jail included the call for “eliminating the cash bail system as well as other hindrances to releasing low-level defendants ahead of trial.”
Time: 6:00-6:30 for dinner snacks; 6:30-8:30 program
