When students don’t feel safe at school, they can’t learn. We all have a role to play in cultivating safety and wellness in Durham Public Schools. That’s why we are inviting you to the community conversation “Safety, Wellness, and Restorative Practices: The Schools Our Students Deserve” on Tuesday, April 23, from 6-7pm on Zoom!
Hosted by the School Safety and Wellness Working Group of the People’s Alliance Education Action Team, the event will feature a DPS student and parent who will speak about their experiences, two Restorative Practice Coordinators and a representative from DPS to speak about progress toward district-wide implementation. Come learn about restorative practices in DPS and what you can do to work with others toward their full implementation as recommended by the Durham Community Safety and Wellness Task Force.
