At our November meeting, we will continue to work with the Braggtown Community Association on equitable development, possibly by planning a Progressive Issues Forum to learn, then act.
An important part of our work is asking local and state representatives to support equitable development with affordable housing, transit, and community benefits that prevent displacement and eviction. We plan to watch city council meetings to see how their votes align with our values. As per our PA mission: "We believe a community can be more than a place where people live - it can be a place where all people live well. We work to elect progressive people to office and hold them accountable..."
After our action team meeting, we will join the 7:00pm city council meeting to join Braggtown in their call for equitable development.
