36 Seconds: Portrait of a Hate Crime tells the story of the 2015 murders of three Muslim-American students in Chapel Hill - and their families’ fight to have the killings recognized as hate crimes. On February 12, Durham residents will have an opportunity to view the critically-acclaimed documentary.
The screening will begin at 7 p.m. at the Carolina Theatre, followed by a discussion featuring an esteemed panel who will dig into the film, the criminal case, and the issue of hate crime laws.
