Join PA member Nancy Cox to generate ideas on how to convene and facilitate your own community/neighborhood conversation about this upcoming series. Groups that convene could dig into: 

• The paradox of the Revolution: The documentary is exploring the contradictions of the era, such as the fight for liberty alongside the institution of slavery. 
• Educational resources: Resources for teachers and students, including companion materials on PBS LearningMedia, are a focus of some events.
• Comparison to past Ken Burns films: Longtime fans of Ken Burns' work are discussing how this new series might compare to his previous documentaries. For example, some have praised the series' "gravitas," while others have debated specific historical interpretations.
