Activist Alert--February 26, 2016

Support Affordable Housing

People's Alliance needs you to fill City Hall for important City Council meetings to keep making progress on affordable housing and fair use of police body cameras in our community.

Monday, March 7 & 21
7:00pm
City Hall, 101 City Hall Plaza

To gain perspective on the effects of displacement on the most vulnerable in our community, be sure to watch this video from the Durham Affordable Housing Coalition.

Environmental Action Team

People's Alliance is reinvigorating our Environmental Action Team.  Our Board has been engaged in pressing Durham Public Schools to make a meaningful commitment to engage with the community in planning for a healthy and sustainable future for our schools, but there is more work to be done.

We need your help to move forward on this and other progressive environmental actions in Durham. Keep an eye on the Activist Alerts for our next meeting, or email Sara at [email protected] to let us know you want to plug in.
