As an Assistant District Attorney in Durham County, Josephine Kerr Davis is both diligent in her efforts to serve the State of North Carolina and committed to the legal profession. Josephine joined the Durham County District Attorney’s Office after years of serving as an attorney for the Fayetteville Public Defender’s Office and the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
Aside from being a lawyer, Josephine has taught for Durham Technical Community College as well as various universities. Josephine has a passion for inspiring others through education and is responsible for creating an environment that promotes and encourages students to learn. As a former tutor with National Black Child Development, Josephine provided remedial students individual instruction in both English and Mathematics.
