The Changing World of Work, the Growth of Non-Permanent Employment and the Effort to Organize Contingent Faculty at Duke
The December progressive forum will address the contingent workforce in Durham and across North Carolina, with a special focus on the efforts underway to organize contingent faculty at Duke University. Participants will have the opportunity learn more about the growing contingent workforce in our community, hear from faculty and students involved in the campaign to organize contingent faculty at Duke, and learn more about what PA, the community and leaders in Durham can do to support this important organizing effort. The forum is being co-sponsored by the PA Economic Inequality Action Team and SEIU's Faculty Forward campaign. Members are encouraged to attend as we will approve our 2016 budget and elect our 2016 Officers and Board at our short business meeting following the forum.
