Carl joined PA when he was in graduate school at Duke in the Sanford School of Public Policy. He was eager to work on progressive politics and issues in Durham and PA seemed to be the place to be. Since then, Carl has been glad to stay involved and to help PA work towards its progressive vision for Durham.
Carl's commitment to growing economic equality is evident in his work. He is the Chair of PA's Economic Inequality Action Team, and helped lead the group to launch the 2015 Durham Living Wage Project.
In his spare time, Carl enjoys playing tennis and basketball, running, gardening, listening to bluegrass, going to Bulls games or cruising around in his ELF (a solar and pedal hybrid vehicle).
